Clube dos Lisos is not a closed space within four walls. It is the sound of heart-wrenching choro on a 7-string guitar, the sweat in a traditional carimbó circle, the dust that rises from the ground in the backyards of Belém’s outskirts and docks.
Founded out of an urgent need to document and amplify the voices of forgotten masters, we serve as a cultural preservation label and, at the same time, a vibrant catalog of our true identity. We want the artist on stage, beer in our glasses, and respect for our history.
“Brega, choro, and carimbó don’t need elitist curation; they need space to let loose and make the body dance in the most original way possible.”
We connect local venues, independent journalism, and the most brilliant artists of Amazonian music on a single platform. Additionally, through our “Become a Member” program, we give bohemians the chance to fund productions and, in return, enjoy free admission and affordable prices.
